Holy Spirit fill this vessel.

1 Corinthians 3:16 – Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?

The Spirit of God lives inside of us. When we accept Christ we are inviting Him into our lives. Too often I see people that don’t really know what this means.

I couldn’t imagine going one day without Jesus. He fills my entire day from the moment I wake until I fall asleep. He is with me in my dreams. He is with me at work!

We, in this society, often get so busy that it seems impossible to fit God into our schedule. I have to get this done. That deadline is coming up. I have obilgations to people and things to get done! Where does God fit into all this?

Notice where the priority is when our thinking is in that mindset. The priority is in people and deadlines.

With all this mess, how do I fit in Jesus?

I’d like to paint a picture of what it means to fill up with the Holy Spirit and show you some very simple and practical ways based on my personal daily walk with Christ.

Picture three glasses. The first glass is filled just slightly with water. Barely enough to fill the bottom. The next is about half way to the top and third is at the brim.

We are all containers of the Holy Spirit. Much like the glasses. The water represents the Holy Spirit. New Christians are much like the glasses that barely have anything in it. They dont have enough hydration to keep them going.

The glass that is half way there are Christians that pencil in Jesus instead of making Him first and letting the other stuff fall into place. They trust Jesus on Sunday’s or when it’s convenient for them but don’t do enough replenishment. They go to church and claim to be Christians but you can see by their fruit they aren’t interested in seeking God. They are lukewarm.

Revelation 3:16 – But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!

The next person has the glass filled to the brim with the Holy Spirit. Now imagine being so filled with God that joy, favor, blessings and miracles follow you where ever you go!

And what happens if you continue to fill a glass without ever turning off the source???

You can be so filled with the Holy Spirit that the power of God fills an entire room, a building, a territory, or even a city! Praise God!!!

Now, how do you do this? How is this possible? By filling yourself daily with the presence of God.

In my personal life, it can be overwhelming to find the time to do this or that. I have to set times where I do certain things. I am intential with my time. I also weed out old relationships, often! Nothing like realizing you are still keeping a toxic person in your life. You want to succeed? Get a better circle!

Let me explain this in more detail. You need to set the atmosphere around you! Be intentional in all areas!

When you feel crunched, stressed, overwhelmed, anxiety, depression or any form that is not from God, then you need to slow down and pray!

Sometimes the best way to get into Gods presence is through worship. Turn that Katy Perry song off and turn on some Hillsong. Turn the politics and news off and get into The Word of God! Are you of this world or are you going after Heaven’s Agenda???

Feed your soul good things and bad thing will flee from you. What you feed your eyes and ears, feeds your soul.

By doing these few small and simple things, DAILY you are recharging your battery. You are hydrating your soul. You are minimizing evil around you and maximising the presence of God!

Will we still have trials? Yes, but Jesus is walking with you. There’s nothing that trumps that!

Remember, you are a temple of God. The Holy Spirit dwells within you but it is up to you how full you get.
