I have a WINDSHIELD over my life.

I have a WINDSHIELD over my life. A hedge of protection sealed by the blood. of the lamb…

This morning I was following my mom to the dealership. She has had some issues with her car lately. Its about 10 years old so it needs some extra care.

We were on the highway and this big walnut sized rock starts flying towards my windshield and hit the window pretty hard.

It did not crack the window, thank you Jesus! But it left a big scuff mark. Not gonna lie, it spooked me. It hit right in front of my face. I was actually surprised that it didn’t crack anything.

But then the Holy Spirit began to speak…

This is an example of the protection over your life. Many things don’t go as planned but don’t fret. You don’t realize how safe you are because you don’t see all of things God is protecting you from…Things come flying at you but do you see any cracks? All you see is a scuff mark. Scuff marks can be wiped off! YOUR BUMPS AND BRUISES CAN BE WIPED OFF!!!

That windshield is there hiding you from danager and is there protecting you when you don’t even think you need it.

Do you see it? God is there protecting YOU!!!

John 13:7 Jesus replied, “You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.”

Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my protector; he is my strong fortress. My God is my protection, and with him I am safe. He protects me like a shield; he defends me and keeps me safe.

Sometimes we may not know why things happen the way they do. It becomes hard sometimes to know which direction to go.

What is my calling, Lord? I have things I am passionate about but why is it so tough to just wake up in the morning? What am I supposed to do with my life? How am I supposed to move forward? I hear your call!!!! Where do you want me to land my feet? — In silence? Ok, Lord…that’s not what I meant.

That’s actual conversations I’ve had with God. I hear His call to build. I hear His call to do things for the Kingdom. I am a go-getter. A do-er. Such attention to detail and someone that fits small puzzle pieces together to make a big picture, kind of person. But God is so much more patient then I am. I want to move and He wants me to wait.

In the grand scheme of things; it is not always best to move quickly into the lime light of your calling. Seeds take time to grow. And often, the best place to be sheilded is hiding under His wings. He protects us not only from outside danagers but from ourselves as well.

Psalm 32:7 You are my hiding place;
you will protect me from trouble
and surround me with songs of deliverance.

You will find the biggest shield from danager is by being in the word of God.

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

Don’t always be in a rush to get things done. The longer you wait on building yourself up in the Lord, the longer you have to wait for His answer. If God were to answer you right now, what would you look like 2 years from now?

Would you look like King Saul who practically had the Kingdom handed to him by God Himself. And then walked away from God’s counsel? Or would you look like King David who sturggled but God still called him a friend? David worshipped God with all of his heart.

Listen, your dreams and desires will be fulfilled. It’s a promise from God.

Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Sumit to His will. Let Him take the wheel. Be shielded by His word and embrace His presence. And watch what God will do with it.

Thank you Lord for giving us the desires of our heart. Thank you for leading, guiding and directing us.

In Jesus name Amen!
