Know Your Self Worth

1 Peter 3:3-4 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.

Proverbs 3:15-18 She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed.

Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Most if us don’t know our self-worth. We live in society where it’s ok to call women sexy or hot but I am here to tell you that I will not date a man that calls me either.

Maybe that sounds a little conceited but I know who I am in Christ. And if a guy calls me either of those two things, red flags go up in my brain all over the place.

That tells me the guy isn’t interested in my heart but rather how I look or what I can do for him. I’m sorry but I don’t play that.

Listen up!!! Men looking for a God fearing woman (or husband’s that already have one), be careful what you call her. She is beautiful, she is gorgeous and she is wonderfully made.

Women! Do you not know your worth? Proverbs 31 tells you that you are a daughter of a King! If you can’t tell a guy how to treat you, he will treat you however he wishes. He’ll name you baby momma because that’s how YOU allow him to treat you.

If a guy knows his worth and mistakenly calls you hot, he will not be offended. He will correct himself and his actions “from there on” will prove the words he just spoke.

Let me give you a tip: If he does get offended, chances are he ain’t for you.

Ladies, don’t give the time of day to a guy that seems interested in you if he doesn’t meet your standards.

If a guy that I didn’t know well asked me out these are the questions I’d ask him:

  1. What’s your name?
  2. How’s your faith?

If he can’t answer the second question without a second thought then I kindly decline his offer. I want a guy that also knows his worth in God.

People standards for what you want in a relationship and stick to them!

God will send the right person. Trust His timing. And get healed before you date. If you aren’t you will end up making bad dating choices.

Romans 10:13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Genesis 15:1 After these things the word of the Lordcame to Abram in a vision, “Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.”
Today was a very bad day. I was just highly frustrated with work and everything seemed to be coming at me on purpose just to rattle my skin. I was not in the mood for anything and no patience.
I remember getting out of my car this morning and wondering whether I needed a jacket I turned around and grabbed it from the passenger seat just in case.
Before lunch it had already been a day. I just wanted to scream. I got several not so nice phone calls and emails and they didn’t seem to stop. I took a moment to write down a prayer and just asked Jesus to help. When I went back out to my car for lunch a neckless that hangs from my rearview mirror was placed neatly on the passenger seat. The seat I grabbed the jacket from. The necklace was not there this morning.
How did the necklace get from the rearview mirror to the passenger seat and placed as though someone had put it there? Angels.
I’ve encountered this before. Where things are neatly placed in front of me and had no way of being placed there. The necklace is a guitar pick and the front says Pick Jesus. The back has Romans 10:13 scripture written on it.
Jesus was telling me that He’s got my back. It didn’t make the day any less stressful but I felt so much peace that Jesus allowed an angel to give me a sign that I’m ok.
After lunch I couldn’t focus so I wrote down more of my prayer. I contented a declared that mountains are moving and the things that were making me so upset won’t even matter. Jesus has my back and He is going to dissolve every conflict. In Jesus name!
Later I saw another scripture Genesis 15:1 and I knew Jesus was trying to comfort me and let me know even further that He has it all covered.
Who am I that the creator of the universe would care so deeply about me? But He does. He says that I’m a daughter of a king.
Most of the time that extra pressure or stress is actually warfare. I can feel things in the spirit and today was a fight. But He was there with me the whole time.
Thank you God for loving me so much! Thank you Jesus for fighting with me. And Thank you Holy Spirit for walking me through this day.
In Jesus name all negative warfare is null in void and canceled! My Daddy is bigger then anything I will ever face! Amen!

God’s Love For Us

I have an adorable cat. She’s a bit ornery and squirmy but she’s so lovable. One night I just felt the presence of God so strongly and I couldn’t help but want to love on my cuddle cat for a moment.
The thing about cats is that the affection usually has to be on the cat’s term. I brought her close to me and said, “Just sit here for a moment. I just want to love on you”. And then I understood. God was telling me something in that moment. He said, this is how I feel about my children. We are the lovable child that usually only goestl to Him on our terms. But He’s bring us close for a moment.
And all He wants us to sit in His presence so He can shower us with His love.
